The project
StyleStep lets visitors upload a photo of an item of clothing and builds a complete outfit around it. The user picks an occasion, from Business to Night Out, and gets matching items back with the brand and price shown.
The challenge is not the upload but what sits behind it: the suggestions have to be linked to products that are actually for sale at partner retailers at that moment. Otherwise you end up with a nice picture that nobody can use.
We designed and built the front end: the upload flow, the choice of occasion, the outfit view with prices and the multilingual setup.
